Witches & Wizards Curragh Walk - Friday 28th October

This month's Curragh Walk will take on a Halloween twist! All children (and parents, if you like) are invited to dress up in their Halloween outfit of choice. We'll all set off on Friday morning, 28th October, just after Assembly (approximately 9.30 a.m.) *weather permitting as usual. Don't forget to send in wellies with the children, just in case. Please also remember to send in €1 with your child.

Brave the Shave - Update

Well done to Scott O'Keefe, seen here presenting a cheque to Dolly Weller, representative and volunteer for "Friends of St Bridget's Hospice" The final amount was €1,030.00 and Scott has since been given another €5.00, which will be dropped up to Dolly. Healthy Lifestyle Committee 2016-2017

The students on this committee this year are 6th Class: Emma Maguire, Shane Treacy, Amy Butler, Emma Mitten, Alex Condon 5th Class: Tara Dunne, Kahlen Murray, Conor Kraus, Faye Quinn & Ellie Melia These students work with Ms. Kelly and the Healthy Lifestyle Committee to promote a healthy lifestyle for all in Scoil Bhríde. This includes monitoring all who ‘Walk on Wednesdays’, giving out fruit pieces on Curragh walk days and other activities throughout the year. We are very proud of the student members of all our committee (including Hannah, Bill, Lauren, Kate & co. in the Gardening Club) and wish them a busy and successful year. Junior Entrepreneur Programme Kildare 19th, 26th October and 9th November

The Kildare Local Enterprise Office runs a Junior Enterprise Programme for senior primary school pupils each year. This year we have been successful in securing a place on this programme. All 45 6th Class students will be involved in the programme run over 3 Wednesday mornings (19th, 26th October & 9th November). This programme aims to make the world of business accessible to primary age children prior to the transition to secondary school. The programme introduces the concepts of entrepreneurship and business in an interesting and innovative way. Our Parents Association are running a fundraising Bag Pack Day in Dunnes Stores on Saturday 22nd October.
