Boys Basketball

Huge congratulations to the senior boys' basketball team who reached the playoffs of the county league in January. Despite an outstanding team performance, the boys sadly missed out on a place in the final by a mere three baskets! They represented their school with pride and dignity at every game. We are very proud of Liam, Ben, Jamie, Daniel, Conor O, Conor G, Adam, Rian, Sam G, Sam S, Corey and Niall who all deserved to be highly commended for the team spirit and sportsmanship that they showed throughout the league.

Gardening Club Update - February

Gardening Clubbers are back in action for 2019! They have filled the pots at the front of the school with seasonal plants and have already weeded and prepared the area near St. Brigid for the new plants which will be introduced in spring. The school has also qualified to take part in the Agri Aware 'Incredible Edibles' programme and we look forward to eating the fresh produce which the Gardening Club will soon be growing. Watch this space!

St Brigid's Cross

In 2015, the newest classroom (Ms. Cosgrove’s 6th) and the set-down area were built and completed. To make way for the set down area we had to fell some trees including a beautiful cherry blossom tree. This tree was replaced by a cherry tree planted by bishop Denis Nulty in June 2015 near the flagpoles. The wood trunk from the original cherry blossom tree was taken by expert carpenter and parent Niall Moran. Niall designed and created a beautiful St. Brigid’s cross which was recently erected beside our St. Brigid’s statue. Our sincere thanks to Niall for this beautiful piece which further adds to the beautiful environment of our school. On Friday 8th February, two of Niall's children, Éa
