Art at Athgarvan
The children have been busy creating lovely artwork. A walk through the corridors of Scoil Bhríde would surely bring a smile to your face. Remember, we invite parents to visit the school on the last Monday of each month (9:00 - 9:15). Do feel free to pop in at drop off time, on those days.
Gardening Club - June Update
As you see our school is looking lovely & summery with all the flower boxes, hanging baskets & tubs. Ms. Kavanagh and her green-fingered Gardening Club have been ensuring all planting, watering and minding of these flowers is done. Thanks to all! Thanks are also due to Alan & Val Hanbury (parents) who kindly donated the lovely hanging baskets and a huge number of other flowers to Scoil Bhríde. See photos below.
Allianz Cumann na mBunscoil
Senior Boys, Division 5 The boys qualified for the Allianz Cumann Na MBunscoil senior boys division 5 final going undefeated in their group with wins over Kilashee & Rahen National Schools and a semi-final victory against Coleragh NS in Allen. These wins were secured by a solid goalkeeper performance and accurate kick out strategy of Sam Sheehan and collectively mean defensive effort from Jamie Nielsen, Niall Barry, Fionn Frisby, Daniel Cox & Jack Fogarty.
