Final Broad Beans Update

For those of you following Ms Burke's Senior Infants Broad Bean Seed experiment, here's an update: You may know that Ms Burke took the seedlings home to care for them while we are away from school. She has this final, pre-holidays update for us: Update from Ms Burke - June 2020 We had great excitement in my house when we harvested the broad beans at the weekend. I have attached pictures to show you what they look like. There are 4 or 5 beans in each pod. They taste lovely and I hope to enjoy them for many weeks ahead!

Evelyn's Letter from the Áras

Well done to Evelyn Lavin, 1st Class who recently decided that a letter to Áras an Uachtaráin was in order! Tired of the lack of fun and socialisation, Evelyn went off one Sunday afternoon furiously writing and came back with a letter to President Higgins about plans for a post-COVID party. She attached a a photo of herself, for context, and proceeded to learn how to address an envelope and post it. Much to Evelyn's delight, she received a reply from President Higgins' office last week.
