Annie Morris Creativity Cup

It was with great sadness that the Scoil Bhride family bid farewell to Annie Morris on Friday 23rd June 2017. Annie has been a parent of children in our school for over 16 years and this year her youngest child, Evan, leaves Scoil Bhride for Secondary school. Annie has inspired and initiated so many artistic and creative events in Scoil Bhride; Winter Fair, Yarn-Bombing, Pet Day, to name but a few.

She has served on the Parents Association for years including acting as Chairperson. To celebrate and commemorate Annie's commitment and inspiration we have a Perpetual Cup - The Annie Morris Creativity Cup - which will be awarded each year by Annie to one child who has impressed Annie with their artistic creativity.

This year, after much deliberation from all the entrants received, Annie awarded 10 certificates of merit and chose an overall winner who was presented with the cup engraved with their name. This year's winner is Maria Howe-Hall in Senior Infants!

Maria used her late father's "hawk" (which her Dad had used as a plasterer) to cover with stones and glitter and produce a spectacular garden ornament. Congratulations Maria! We look forward to continuing to promote and acknowledge the artistic talents of the Scoil Bhride pupils in memory of a great and talented lady - Annie Morris!"
