School Football - Update

Congratulations to the U11 Girls Football Team on their recent efforts. Here's a report from coaches Ms. Cleary and Ms. Tennyson:

“The U11 Girls’ Football Team kick started the 2017 league with a match against Newbridge Educate Together.

Although the girls fought hard during this match, unfortunately, we did not secure a win against this tough side. Next up was a match against Robertstown. Athgarvan girls showed huge improvement in their efforts against this strong team, playing with true determination and heart. This was an exciting and very enjoyable match and despite some great play by all of our team we were narrowly beaten by Robertstown.

We look forward to seeing some of the girls back at training in Spring when we will resume again for the Senior Girl’s Football League. Well done to everyone who took part”.
