Under 11 Boys Champions
Congratulations to the U11 Boys who were successful in the Cumann na mBunscoil Final in Moorefield on Thursday 26th October.
The game had been postponed on two occasions due to Hurricane Ophelia and Storm Brian so it was with great excitement and anticipation that the boys finally lined up to face Nurney.
Nurney came to the final unbeaten, with a strong team and having previously defeated Athgarvan in an earlier league game.
The game was close with a point separating the teams at half time. The Athgarvan team having learned from their previous meeting took a grip of the game in the second-half to win the cup.
It was a well-deserved victory for the team and the players were presented with their winners medals by the coaches at school on Friday, before the Halloween holidays.
Well done to the player's, coaches, parents and all the staff at Scoil BhrÃde who all contributed to the success.
