Note from Parent Association Chairperson

On behalf of the Parent Association, I would like to say a huge “Thank you” to all those who made our Winter Fair on Sunday 3rd December, such an enjoyable and entertaining afternoon for the community of Scoil Bhríde Athgarvan.
From the lovely craft work displayed around the school to the beautiful ‘hand-made’ Christmas trees hanging in the GP room, our school was transformed into a Magical Winter Wonderland.
A special word of thanks goes out to all the students and Teachers who enthusiastically participated in our Winter Fair. For the children who moved tables and chairs, filled jam jars, donated books and toys, constructed Lego creations or baked something delicious, we say, “Thank you very much”.
To all the Teachers who assisted and supervised their class in the making of their beautiful crafts and who then supported us on the day, we are very grateful - thank you.
Lastly, to you, the Parents: without your continuous support, none of this would be possible. You donated prizes for our Raffle, for our Tombola, you helped fill jam jars, you donated sweets, toys, buns, cakes, and you brought in bric-a-brac by the bootload!
Most importantly of all though, you gave your time: to those of you who volunteered your time in the lead up to, and on the day - thank you very much. (We know of more than one Grandparent who rolled up their sleeves too!)
To you, the Parents who came along to support on the day: bringing your children along, and supporting in this way, is absolutely key to the success of the day. A massive “Thank You” to you.
All prize winners (Raffle prizes, Lego Competition and "Guessing" games) have been contacted/awarded. We will have details of funds raised in our January Newsletter.
Wishing you all a peaceful and Merry Christmas.
