FAI Soccer Blitz

6th class travelled to Kilcullen on Wednesday 5th of March where they took part in the Spar FAI primary school 5’s blitz.

3 girls teams and 2 boys teams kitted out in blue jerseys to represent Scoil Bhríde Athgarvan. Well done to all the teams, who displayed excellent team spirit and sportsmanship throughout the day. Congratulations to the boys team captained by Conor O Donovan who won their round and have qualified for the finals; which will be played in Kilcullen on 27th March.

Also playing in the finals are Niall Barry, Sam Gaine, Liam Gorman, Adam Smith and Ben O’ Connor.

A huge thank you to Derek Gallagher for helping Ms. Cosgrove on the day and to all of the parents who braved the cold on the sidelines.
