Bee Planting March 2019
Following on from the very interesting talk and tree planting day, Gráinne Finlay (parent) of the local Bee Keeper’s Association organised the construction and installation of raised flower beds around the ash tree (beside the oil tank).
Our Gardening Club, with the expert help of Ms. Kavanagh, have planted the beds. These flowers will grow and attract bee activity over the summer months. The raised flower beds were painted by the youngest member of the Association, Luke Finlay (1st class). The photos show some of the bee planting by 3rd Class girls.
Our sincere thanks to all concerned.
