Scoil Bhríde Athgarvan

Curragh Walks
Here at Scoil Bhride Athgarvan, we are incredibly lucky to be situated on the edge of the Curragh, with every opportunity for exploring our environment.
Over the past 15 years, we have had the tradition of taking the whole school, along with Parents, Guardians and pets, on our monthly Curragh Walk. This happens on the last Friday of each month during school term.
This is an important part of our 'Healthy Schools' efforts.
Setting off around 9:30a.m., just after morning Assembly, we are normally mobile for an hour and a half.
THINGS TO REMEMBER:
-
Last Friday of each month
-
Weather permitting
-
Wear tracksuits, regardless of their 'regular' tracksuit day
-
Bring wellies to change into pre-walk.
-
Dogs, on their lead, are welcome
-
Healthy Lifestyle Committee Students help with our younger students during walk
-
The Healthy Lifestyle Team also help distribute fruit to all walkers on return to school.

The "Curragh Walk €1"
