Story Club resumes Wednesday 1st September 2021 for Senior Infants and on Monday 13th September for Junior Infants.
The Story Club is an after-school activity group for Junior and Senior Infants.
It takes place in Ms Tennyson's classroom at front of school (Senior Infants classroom 2021/2022) Monday to Friday from 2pm to 3pm.
The children will be brought there at 2pm and can then be collected at the GAA Clubhouse at 3pm.
A typical session runs as follows:
The children are collected from their classroom
Fruit juice and snacks are provided as we discuss their news
A story is read followed by a related arts and crafts activity
The children then continue with other activities such as building blocks, playdough, fuzzy felt, games etc until home time.
The emphasis is on relaxing and having fun.
Weekly plans are drawn up so that the children are doing something different every day.
Enrolments are taken one month in advance and a roll book is created for each day. Where possible, last minute additions can be accommodated.
Parents are not permitted on school grounds and Story/Study Clubs are following the Covid Restriction Safety Procedures in line with the
School Covid Response Plan.
Each session costs €5 and the children may attend any number of sessions each week.
